It has been ages since I blogged so here I am back again!  Yay!

Well what have I been up to?  Doing lots and lots of art!

I am moving house in a few weeks so will be super busy with that, I hate moving but as we are moving to a beautiful area of Western Australia I do not mind.

It has been ages since I posted a blog as my husband has had cancer and the past six months have been a living hell.

BUT he is past the worst and I am back on track with my art.  I have lots of new art to share with you so here is my first painting.

I did this painting for a client who wanted a darker skin girl and it turned out so well!!  I love her soulful look!

This one was such a blast and I so love the elephant!  It sold before I had even finished it which was so great!
Well I will show you more next time or go onto my Etsy site and see what else I have been up too.

Well my dear bloggers out there in Blog Land, it has been ages since I have posted.  This is due to some pretty heavy stuff happening in our family.  Lots of sadness in this so get some tissues now.'

First of all, my precious husband was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  He went in for surgery and had one side of his thyroid taken out - at this stage they thought it was only a goiter - which was not too bad.  Then ten days after that the biopsy results came back. I can tell you it hit us like a ton of bricks!  BUT there is a silver lining in this, the type of cancer is called Papillary and is pretty easily cured.  He is now due to go in to have the other side out on 7th June.  This time he has to go to our nearest city, Perth, as there are no doctors here in the country that can do this.  We went to see him and he was so upfront and took his time answering all of our questions.  He will need to go in afterwards and have radioactive iodine injected to kill off any stray thyroid cancer cells that have strayed, plus he will now be on a substitute thyroid hormone for the rest of his life.

The second major thing that has happened is we lost our very very best friend, Willow.  And even as I type this my eyes are filling up, she was our Shih Tzu and we loved her so so much.  She passed away so unexpectedly, she was about twelve years old and was not sick at all.  She went to sleep forever right next to our bed on the mat by my side of the bed.  I can tell you now I wailed and cried and was beside myself with grief and shock. I held her in my arms for about half an hour.  We had her cremated and will scatter her ashes in her favourite walking place.

Art wise, I have been busy.  I did a very large painting and sold it before it was even finished!  She is magnificent, a warrior woman, whom I felt I needed to bring forward to deal with all the crap that was happening to us.

Now I am doing my first giveaway on my Facebook page, I have two small owl paintings to give away!  Yah.

Well my lovelies, this is all for now, more soon, hugs and love,

Rowan aka Elizabeth Jones xxx

Hello Bloggers!  Here I am again, a bit late but here lol.  I went to Perth on Thursday for a specialists appointment - my check up for the surgery that was done six weeks ago.  All is well and I am starting to come off some of my pain meds, which is good.

But I have done four canvases that are now all ready to add the main picture onto. I want to do some small ones that I can sell at a market I am going to go too. I want to just do some little hearts and maybe the word Love or some small houses with Family or something like that.  I am looking forward to doing them. I will show you when they are finished.

My husband is going into hospital in a weeks time to have a goitre taken off his throat. It is a big op and could be cancer but we are hoping not.  He did have a biopsy but it was unclonclusive.  So trying times at the moment.

Hope you have a great week, love and hugs, Elizabeth xxx

Hello again all you gorgeous people out there in Blog Land, it is Thursday again, which will now be my blog day. I may come on if something comes up but I will always try to blog on this day each week. I usually start a painting on Mondays so by Thursday it is usually done.

And I am not going to disappoint you today!  I have been working on this painting and have loved every bit of it!  She has evolved from a girl on the beach to a girl underwater holding a beautiful pearl that she had been diving for.  Mind you, I don't think I would dive in that dress but such is the wonderful world of Whimsical art!  I can do anything!

Hope you all like her as I certainly do.  Tomorrow I will do some work in my art class. I am learning how to write so I can put sayings into my art and have them look really smart!  Well till next time, stay well and happy, hugs and love, Elizabeth xxxxx

Hello there all you Beautiful People out there in Blog Land - well what a  week it has been!  I have been working on my childrens painting, "Friends come in all Shapes and Sizes" over the last week and it has taken me days to finish!  A big painting with five characters in it.  But I have loved doing it!  I have put it on my Etsy site for a month, then if it has not sold, I will be donating it to my grandsons school as they have opened a new library and I think it would look lovely in there.  It is always good to give back.

I am doing fine, wanting to get back to driving and doing all my house work again!  But I have to just pace myself for a while.

We had rain this week, a whole day of it which was wonderful and it was quite cool too!  We really need the rain and I do hope this winter is a wet one for us.

Well this is all for now, talk to you again soon, keep smiling munchkins, hugs and love
